Curriculum vitae

Svenja Zösmair is the Chief Operating Officer of TU eMpower Africa e.V., an NGO that aims to empower African communities by implementing solutions at the energy-water-food nexus. She holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, where she discovered her passion for the diverse field of sustainability while working on sustainable material development projects at the Fraunhofer Institute (IVV) in Freising. She is a research associate and PhD candidate at the EQUA Endowed Chair for Family Business, Culture and Ownership at the TUM School of Management. Her research interests are the next generation of entrepreneurs in family businesses and new ventures in the context of social responsibility and sustainability, as well as female entrepreneurship in different contexts, such as Africa. She currently teaches and co-teaches courses such as Contemporary and Emerging Issues in Organisations or Entrepreneurship across Contexts.

Svenja Zösmair is a PhD Candidate at the Chair of Family Business Culture and Ownership at TUM and COO at TU eMpower Africa. She holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, where she discovered her passion for the diverse field of sustainability while working on sustainable material development projects at the Fraunhofer Institute (IVV) in Freising.

 

TU eMpower Africa e.V. is a non-profit organization, which unites students, researchers, alumni and friends of TUM to work on the question, how energy transition can foster sustainable development of communities in Africa.
