Curriculum vitae

Prof. Anja Faße studied Horticultural Sciences at the Leibniz University of Hannover. Afterward, she obtained a Ph.D. in economics at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Leibniz University of Hannover in 2013. There, she was affiliated with the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade and worked on topics related to bioenergy, agroforest, value chain analysis, sustainability, and poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. After graduating, she coordinated research projects focusing on the impact assessment of agricultural innovations on the food security of the rural population in Kenya and Tanzania. Anja Faße joined the TUM Campus Straubing in 2016 and the TUM School of Management in 2018. She is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade at the Leibniz University of Hannover.

The research of the chair refers to the field of environmental and developmental economics as well as applied econometrics. More precisely, research questions in the fields of impact assessment of shocks and innovations on poverty, food security, inequality, entrepreneurship, satisfaction, and migration in developing countries are addressed. Furthermore, the chair deals with topics related to the Bioeconomy and the effects of environmental, agricultural, climate, and trade policies on the international competitiveness of national economies.
